Народный праздник Платон и Роман Зимоуказатели отмечается 1 декабря 2024 года (18 ноября по старому стилю). Православной церковью в этот день чтится память мучеников Платона Анкирского и Романа Кесарийского. В народе святых прозвали «Зимоуказателями» за то, что по первому зимнему дню можно определить, какой будет погода весь сезон. Причем следить за ней следует на протяжении всего дня. Утро рассказывает о начале зимы, день – о ее середине, а вечер – о конце.
История.
Платон был родом из набожной семьи. Покинув отчий дом отроком, он ходил с проповедями по городам, пока не был схвачен и доставлен язычниками на суд властителя Агриппина. Ни лесть, ни подкуп, ни угрозы, ни заточение не смогли заставить Платона отречься от христианской веры. Спустя месяц разнообразных пыток, которые не смогли сломить его, раздосадованный правитель приказал казнить мученика.
Во времена великих гонений на христиан диакон Роман поддерживал верующих и обличал язычников. Во время одного из языческих праздников он попытался образумить людей. Но вместо того, чтобы прислушаться к словам Романа, его схватили и подвергли многочисленным мучениям, после чего казнили.
Традиции и обряды.
По древней традиции, если в семье ощущается недостаток денег, то в этот праздник нужно обязательно помолиться святым мученикам Платону и Роману о материальном достатке. Сделать это необходимо до того, как приступать к каким-либо делам. После такой молитвы денежный вопрос должен непременно решиться.
Приметы.
Если ворона ходит по дороге, значит, скоро будет оттепель.
Появившийся в этот день комар в доме предсказывает потепление.
Если луна на небе находится в светящемся круге, то грядет сильный мороз.
Если дует сильный ветер, зимой часто будут вьюги и метели.

History.
Plato came from a devout family. After leaving his father's house as a boy, he went preaching through the cities until he was captured and brought by the pagans to the court of the ruler Agrippin. Neither flattery, nor bribery, nor threats, nor imprisonment could force Plato to renounce the Christian faith. After a month of various tortures that could not break him, the annoyed ruler ordered the martyr to be executed.
During the great persecution of Christians, Deacon Roman supported the faithful and denounced the pagans. During one of the pagan holidays, he tried to bring people to reason. But instead of listening to Roman's words, he was captured and subjected to numerous tortures, after which he was executed.
Traditions and rituals.
According to ancient tradition, if there is a lack of money in the family, then on this holiday it is necessary to pray to the holy martyrs Plato and Roman about material prosperity. This must be done before starting any business. After such a prayer, the money issue must certainly be resolved.
